Melges 24 team looking for our forth. We need someone that is dedicated to yachting and can meet 100% of our campaign schedule as well as regular practice days. We currently plan on keeping the boat in the Miami area, so plan on considering this as our home port. Your racing weight needs to be between 180 and 190. Someone with local knowledge of wind and currents in the area listed below would be ideal. You must be able to read wind on the water, pay attention to patterns in wind shifts, have basic tactical knowledge, have a thorough understanding of how to manipulate the rig to achieve optimal sail shape for the wind condition, and can constantly communicate pertinent information to the afterguard. You would be trimming jib upwind , gybing the kite downwind, and assisting with the hoists and takedowns. Sex and age are not issues, but we would like someone who has a compatible personality with the team. We are intensely competitive, with a work hard, play hard mentality. A laid back personality is essential.   To start, you would need to commit to the following events:  November 3rd  CRYC Annual Regatta - BBYRA #11  Miami,     November 16th-18th Atlantic Coast Championship/King's Day Regatta Jacksonville, FL,     December 2nd  BYRA #12 - KBYC Miami,    December 8th-9th  Key Largo Regatta  Key Largo, FL,  and  January 21st-25th  2008 Key West Race Week  Key West, FL.   If you feel you are a good fit for our team, please email fastmelges@gmail.com or call 347-678-0089 to set up an interview.

Becky Clark   rclark@beckycooks.com   631-560-3229  Evening before 8pm   I grew up sailing in Shelter Island, Long Island Sound, and I have sailed quite a few times in Biscayne bay during the Orange Bowl Regatta, Some large boat experience.

Kevin Cotter   krcotter@purdue.edu   (765) 337-7913  I'm spending a few weeks in Palm Beach on business from Sept 24th to Nov 16th. I sailed on the Great Lakes for about 15 years racing keelboats from 20 to 50 feet in both inshore and offshore races. I can fill a variety of positions, but usually I do jib/spin trim or pit. In college I raced dinghies and the occasional Soling. Willing to learn something new if the opportunity arises.
