RACE CONDITIONS:
Neither the Biscayne Bay Yacht Racing Association, its officers, race committee, nor members assumes or accepts any liability or responsibility for property damage to any boat, or any personal injury to a skipper, crew, or friend suffered while participating in these races including pre-race and post-race activities.
The term "skipper" as used in the sailing instructions shall mean the person, whether or not the owner of the boat, who is designated on the entry form as skipper and who is in charge of the boat.
The safety of the boat and its crews is the sole, and inescapable and ultimate responsibility of the skipper. The suitability of the boat for the weather expected during the course of the race, is the responsibility of the skipper, as is the sole decision to start or continue any race. The skipper shall be responsible for the boat, its handling and safety, and the conduct of its crew while ashore as guests of the Biscayne Bay Yacht Racing Association member clubs or facilities and compliance with the sailing instructions. It is the responsibility of the skipper to ensure that his crew is familiar with these conditions of the races.
NOTICE:
Incomplete registrations forms will be returned and the boat shall not be considered registered for any BBYRA race in which she may participate until a completed registration form (including a copy of the boat's current rating certificate where applicable) is received.
APPLICATION: In consideration for your accepting my entry:
I hereby agree to all the conditions for these races which I have read and understood. I have evaluated the condition of my boat, the abilities of my crew, am generally familiar with boat racing of the type and quality ordinarily manifested within this race series, am familiar with the waters over which courses for this race series are scheduled, and have made the decision that my boat and crew are suitable to this race series. I do for myself and my executors, or administrators, heirs and assigns, waive any and all claims as may occur to me or them against the Biscayne Bay Yacht Racing Association, its officers, members, employees, agents, Race Committees or any host club arising out of the participation of my boat in this race series, or arising from any related activities.
