"ACTIONS OF THE BBYRA BOARD"

Your BBYRA Board of Directors, consisting of the race committee chairs of the five participating clubs, meets once monthly except for July to arrange schedules and search for ways to improve the quality of sailing on the bay.

Communications with owners is a large part of our discussion. We previously had a news magazine but it became costly and was replaced by our website.

The board has decided that we should keep our fleets informed of "Actions of the Board" in a timely manner using the BBYRA website. There will not be items every month, and some months there may be more than one.

The board presents the new financial program for 2012: First, we will accept credit cards. Second, skippers/owners, ages 21 to 35 inclusive, and most affected by this recession in the economy will receive a 50% discount.

The board presented to the skipper/owners of PHRF1 and PHRF2 two options for class splits. Option 2 splitting the classes at 93 prevailed by 2-1 majority.
